“I’m going to rip your earrings out and make you bleed to death” says man to ex-girlfriend

42-year-old Michael Gray was charged with robbery after he was witnessed him forcefully taking a backpack from his girlfriend and driving off with the bag in hand.

On September 10th, Metro Nashville Police Officers were sent to 411 North 2nd Street after a report came in about robbery. When the officers arrived at the address, they met with Jennifer Ellison and her neighbor. Jennifer told the officers that she and her boyfriend got into an argument at their apartment, located at 600 Sylvan Street.

She then packed some of her things into a bag and asked her neighbor to give her a ride to her mother’s apartment, where the robbery later took place. Michael then followed her and her neighbor to the mother’s apartment and confronted her saying, “I’m going to rip your earing out and make you bleed to death.” Jennifer then tried to place her bag back in the car, but Michael ran to the other side of the car and forcefully grabbed the bag from her. He then drove off with the bag in hand. It contained Jennifer’s clothing and cosmetic work tools valued at $200.

On October 7th, Michael Gray was arrested and charged with robbery. During his hearing on October 12th, his robbery charge was dismissed and a previous charge of assault was bound over to a grand jury.
