58-year-old Beverly Bass was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing after she refused to leave Mapco when asked by staff, her daughter, and police.

On October 14th, Metro Nashville Officers responded to a call about an intoxicated person refusing to leave a Mapco located at 3053 Dickerson Pike. When they arrived they made contact with Beverly Bass. They noted she was unsteady on her feet, had watery bloodshot eyes, and slurred her words.

Beverly Bass’ daughter was also at the gas station and tried to take her home, but Beverly cursed at her daughter and refused to leave again. At this point, the officers decided to take her into custody because of her refusal to leave the property and for her own safety due to the gas station being on a busy road.

Beverly Bass was arrested and charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing. She was freed on pretrial release.
