Man caught a year after assaulting his brother with unknown object

36-year-old Norman Johnson was charged with domestic assault when he threw an unknown object at his brother which caused a laceration on his leg before he fled the scene and was caught more than a year later.

On May 5th, 2019, Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to 4428 Sulphur Creek Road for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Niccolus Johnson who stated he got into an argument with his brother, Norman Johnson and it became physical.

Niccolus advised police Norman came to his residence with a random girl. Niccolus told his parents that she should not be here and this upset Norman which lead to an argument between the brothers. The argument escalated when Norman threw an unknown object at Niccolus which resulted in a cut on his right leg. Norman proceeded to rush to grab the object and fled the scene. Niccolus stated he was unable to identify the object because the incident happened so quickly. Niccolus also mentioned his brother has an extensive drug problem and that he believed he was on drugs when the incident took place.

On October 13th, Norman Johnson was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
