Man caught on video stealing liquor at Whiskey Row; comes back for more

37-year-old Jeffrey Jones was charged with two counts of burglary after security cameras caught him stealing alcohol from Whiskey Row and a security guard posted because he damaged the door, caught him entering the establishment again later.

On September 30th, Metro Nashville Police Officers were flagged down in the area of 1st Avenue North and Broadway about a burglary in progress. A white male in a red shirt was seen exiting Whiskey Row located at 400 Broadway with two bottles of liquor. The front doors of the business also appeared to be pried open. MNPD camera footage corroborated witness statements.

A security guard for the establishment was called due to the broken door and he remained at the location. The guard was in the back room of the business when he heard a noise coming from the front. He witnessed Jeffrey Jones again making entry through the front door. The security guard detained him until police arrived.

Jeffrey Jones was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
