23-year-old Mario Moran was charged with child abuse after he got into an argument with his girlfriend and was caught on video by neighbors twisting the arm of her child.
On October 10th, Metro Nashville Police Officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at 500 Cheyenne Boulevard, lot 263. Officer David Harms arrived and talked with Tania Huerta who told him that she got into an argument with her boyfriend, Mario Moran.
The officer then spoke to neighbors who showed him a video that they took of Mario holding the child under his right arm and using his left arm to keep Tania away. The video then showed Mario swinging the child around while trying to grab a set of keys from Tania’s hand. After a few moments, Mario was able to get the keys from Tania and let go of the child. Neighbors reported that after the video ended, Mario grabbed the child by his arm and twisted it behind his back, causing the child to cry out in pain.
Mario Moran was arrested and charged with child abuse of a child six years or younger. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
