25-year-old Jared Crosby was charged with domestic assault after he got into an argument with his roommate over personal issues, punched her in the face several times, and knocked her hat off.
On October 18th, Metropolitan Nashville Police Officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at 1302 Fuller Street. When they arrived they met with Jared Crosby and Deanna Gibbs, both of whom were intoxicated. They first spoke with Deanne, who told the officers that she and Jared got into an argument over personal issues before he punched her in the face multiple times and then knocked the hat she was wearing off of her head.
They then spoke with Jared. He admitted to the officers that they did get into an argument and that he hit the hat off her head out of anger. Deanna did not have any visible injuries, refused medical assistance, and did not wish for an order of protection. She stated to police she was in fear due to his aggressive behavior and wanted Jared to leave.
Jared Crosby was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
