42-year-old Wade Cosby was charged with theft of property after being caught on home surveillance video stealing a pressure washer. When apprehended he asked the officer “If I get the pressure washer back, can we squash this?”
On October 14th, home surveillance video showed Wade Cosby had taken a pressure washer from David Hansen’s back yard at 1918 11th Avenue North. David identified Cosby to a Metro Nashville Officer. Cosby was wearing the same clothes at the time of his arrest that he was wearing during the theft.
Cosby ran into an alley off of Buchanan Street and then cut across a residential yard to 10th Avenue before hiding behind a car. When the officer stopped, Cosby ran back into the alley and tried to get into another car. Once he was taken into custody, Cosby attempted to bargain with the officer saying “If I get the pressure washer back, can we squash this?” Wade Cosby has two other cases pending for burglary and theft.
Wade Cosby was arrested and charged with theft of property $1,000 or less. He was freed on pre-trial release.
