28-year-old Orlin Funez-Flores was charged with domestic assault and aggravated statutory rape after threatening to kill his ex and her family and was then caught engaging in sexual relations with a juvenile.
On August 31st, Orlin Funez-Flores appeared at the window of his ex-girlfriend’s house, Reina Guevara. After letting him in, he threatened to kill her and her family if she refused to continue their previous relationship. The ex’s mother heard a commotion in her daughter’s room and after knocking was told to “wait” by her daughter. The mother then went outside and observed a man jump out of her daughter’s window and run away.
On September 28th, Metro Nashville Officer Melissa Flores was called to assist a specialized unit in the case of a missing 13-year-old juvenile. The minor stated to the police that she had been previously abducted and sexually abused by unknown individuals. When she was able to escape, the juvenile contacted a friend, Orlin Funez-Flores, which is whose apartment she was in when she was found. He admitted to picking her up at a local Walmart in Nashville a couple of weeks before. It was later discovered that Funez-Flores was engaging in sexual acts with the juvenile and admitted to knowing about the sexual content on his phone.
Orlin Funez-Flores was arrested and charged with domestic assault and aggravated statutory rape. His bond was set at $30,000.
