Man kidnaps girlfriend at gunpoint over suspected infidelity

27-year-old Kendall Pinkerton was charged with theft of property and aggravated kidnapping after he accused his girlfriend of cheating on him and forced her into a vehicle at gunpoint.

On September 28th, Kiara Carter told Metro Nashville officers that she and her boyfriend, Kendall Pinkerton, were inside of her house located at 620 Charles E Davis Boulevard when he went outside and returned upset and aggravated. She reported that he was under the impression she was cheating on him, and that he then threw a cell phone at her and took the keys to her car.

After Kiara told him he was not allowed to use the car, Kendall told her “You better not call the police, or I will hurt you even worse.” Kiara then said that Kendall went to grab a gun, and when he returned he told her to get in the car and started threatening her with it inside of the car. Kiara was able to escape the vehicle when Kendall drove to 3301 Creekwood Drive.

Kendall Pinkerton was charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and theft of property. He was later released on a $30,000 bond.
