Man walks in for a drink, tries to walk out with cash register

29-year-old Durgham Al-Mosawi was charged with theft of property and vandalism after two Little Caesars employees detained him while he tried to steal their cash register.

On October 6th, Metro Nashville Police responded to a call at Little Caesars at 3973 Nolensville Pike. When they arrived on the scene, Durgham Al-Mosawi had been detained by two Little Caesars employees, Daniel Buck and Alan Ludlow.

Police spoke to employees who stated Al-Mosawi entered the business to purchase a drink and when the manager, Opal Lewis, opened the register to complete the transaction, he grabbed the register and attempted to flee. The owner, Larry Jordan, reported he also damaged a touch screen monitor worth approximately $6,000, but they only keep $100-$200 in the register at a time.

Durgham Al-Mosawi was arrested and charged with theft of property and vandalism. He was released on a $5,500 bond.
