Teen caught with weed, a stolen Jeep, and a Glock 19

18-year-old Jayden Corley was charged with theft, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia after he was caught on surveillance video exiting a stolen Jeep and was later found with weed and a Glock 19.

On October 26th, Metro Nashville Police officers discovered a stolen 2019 gray Jeep Cherokee in The Paddock at Grandview Apartments parking lot located at 5515 Scruggs Lane. Officers obtained and viewed footage from surveillance cameras and observed Jayden Corley exiting the Jeep belonging to Jennifer Taylor.

The police located Corley in the breezeway of the 1000 building soon after and executed a search warrant when he ran into Apartment 1005. Officers recovered 9 grams of marijuana, a fully loaded Glock 19, a digital scale, and keys to the stolen Jeep. Corley admitted to driving the vehicle and advised officers the marijuana was his. He also stated he bought the firearm from an unnamed source two days ago for $500. Corley’s mother stated she did not allow her son to possess the weapon.

Jayden Corley was arrested and charged with theft of property, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. He is currently jailed in lieu of an $11,000 bond.
