Woman accused of stabbing her ex-roommate over money

50-year-old Tammy Brown was charged with aggravated assault when she stabbed her ex-roommate over a dispute about money. The altercation was caught on camera, but no knife was recovered.

On October 5th, Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to 1705 Jenkins Street in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Felicia Lowery who had visible injuries, but Tammy Brown was no longer on scene. Felicia had cuts on her left arm, right hand, upper lip, and left ear.

Felicia advised police that Tammy had cut her after a verbal altercation about money. When contact was finally made with Tammy, she stated she showed up at the above location and confronted Felicia about stealing money from her. Officers were able to view video footage of the incident from cameras located at the residence. The video revealed Tammy approach Felicia after exiting her vehicle, then Felicia reached for her hand and arm after a brief altercation between the two. The knife used in the incident was never recovered.

Tammy Brown was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
