24-year-old Carlos Smith was charged with public intoxication and vandalism after he got drunk and punched his friend’s car, breaking the mirror and leaving dents down both sides.
On October 25th, Goodlettsville Police Officer Eisenbraun responded to a call about a car that had been vandalized. When the officer arrived, he met with Ashlee Gray who stated she has been staying at the Grand Ole RV Resort with Carlos Smith. She then told the officer that she was getting ready to take a trip to the Twice Daily located at 150 Long Hollow Pike when Carlos jumped into the passenger seat of her car. She knew that Carlos had been drinking, so she decided to give him a ride to the convenience store.
Once they were done shopping and were getting ready to leave, Carlos jumped out of the passenger seat and started punching the car to impede her from driving. As he made his way to the driver’s side of the car, he punched the side mirror off and made dents in the side panels with his fist. She drove away from the store, called her boyfriend and the police to report the incident. Officer Eisenbraun later met with Carlos when he was returning to the RV resort and could immediately smell the alcohol on his breath.
Carlos Smith was arrested and charged with public intoxication and vandalism of $1,000 or less and freed on pre-trial release.
