26-year-old Chase Baysdell was charged with domestic assault when a call from Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row led to police finding out Baysdell had punched his girlfriend in the face earlier that day.
On October 12th, Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row located at 400 Broadway in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Chase Baysdell and his girlfriend, Jennie Wilcox.
The call for service was originally made by civilian mask enforcement employees because Baysdell was being aggressive toward Wilcox. Officers did observe red marks and bruising on Wilcox’s right eye. Wilcox advised police earlier that day in their The Baymont Inn hotel room, located at 224 Elm Hill Pike, she and Baysdell got into a verbal argument and he punched her in the right eye. Wilcox’s injuries were consistent with her story and when Baysdell was asked what happened he admitted to the argument taking place and said, “things happened.” Baysdell was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.
Chase Baysdell was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily injury. He was released on a $1,500 bond.
