23-year old Tara Swartwood was charged with domestic assault and vandalism after she punched her boyfriend’s mother during an argument and broke her glasses.
On May 12th, Metro Nashville Police Officer Dick was called to 1604 East Stewart Lane for a domestic dispute. When police arrived, Teresa Shaw who advised officers her son’s girlfriend, Tara Swartwood, assaulted her and damaged her property.
Shaw confronted Swartwood at her vehicle stating she did not approve of the tone she took with her grandson. Swartwood became aggressive by grabbing Shaw’s hair and kicked and punched her in the face several times. Swartwood proceeded to grab her glasses and break them in half, saying “haha, bitch.” Officers observed and photographed Shaw’s dried bloody nose, swollen left cheek, and broken glasses.
On September 28th, Tara Swartwood was arrested and charged with domestic assault and vandalism. Her bond was set at $3,500.
