52-year-old Emad Kaldess was charged with domestic assault after he twisted his 14-year-old daughter’s arm and shoved her to the ground by her neck to get her phone.
On October 27th, Metro Nashville Police were called to The Family Safety Center located at 610 Murfreesboro Pike. Officers spoke with Emad Kaldess’ ex-wife Teresa Ragaeb and their 14-year-old daughter. The juvenile advised that after having an argument with her father Emad, she called her mother, who told her she could go to a friend’s house. When Emad discovered this, he called the police and went to retrieve her. When they returned to the home, Emad started yelling at his daughter and trying to take her phone.
When his daughter tried to walk away, Emad followed her and grabbed her by the wrist, twisting her arm in an attempt to get the phone. When she tried to pull away, her father placed his hand on her neck and pushed her to the ground. Once Emad had her phone she ran to her room. Officers observed bruising on the juvenile’s knees but no marks on her neck or wrist. Emad Kaldess and Teresa Ragaeb recently got a divorce and have a history of domestic abuse.
Emad Kaldess was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $2,000 bond.
