Hermitage man punches girlfriend because she is “too loud and obnoxious”

44-year-old David Jones was charged with domestic assault after he told his girlfriend she was being loud and obnoxious and started punching her in the face.

On November 3rd, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at Hermitage Manor and Autumn Wood Terrace located at 1316 Tulip Grove Road. When they arrived, they met with Joann Pharris who reported that her boyfriend, David Jones, was in bed when they got into an argument.

Joann stated the argument started because David told her she was being too loud and obnoxious, and things escalated when David got upset and started punching her in the face several times. The police noted that Joann had swelling on her forehead and cheek, and had multiple scratches on her arm.

David Jones was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $2,000 bond.
