27-year-old James Jones was charged with domestic assault when he shoved his girlfriend out of his bedroom by the throat after she caught him in bed with another woman.
On October 24th, Amy Jett stated she gained permission from James Jones’ roommate to enter their residence at Avalon of Hermitage Apartments on 3501 Andrew Jackson Way. James is Amy’s boyfriend so she had some of her belongings at the residence. She stated when she went into his room to get a few toiletries, he was in bed with another woman.
When Amy questioned him about the woman, he lunged toward her and closed the bedroom door. She said he pushed her backward with his hands around her neck then proceeded to grab her arm, telling her she needed to leave. Amy told officers that she did not lose consciousness at any point during the altercation.
On November 1st, James Jones was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
