According to the affidavit, Pirtle matched the description given for a subject “trying car door handles” in the Deerfield Apartment complex parking lot. Kirk Hill, the owner of the vehicle, approached and Engelbert asked if he had given Pirtle access to his vehicle to which he responded, “What! No!” Jamie Pirtle could not explain what he was doing in Hill’s vehicle and was taken into custody.

Jamie Pirtle was arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
