69-year-old John Rose was charged with aggravated assault after he openly admitted to hitting his roommate over the head with his cane after she insulted his mother. He also had a warrant in Cheatham County.
On November 2nd, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a domestic-related issue at 352 Bellevue Road. Upon arrival, they made contact with John Rose who told them he had been in an argument with his roommate Beth Redden. Rose openly admitted he hit Redden in the head with his metal cane because she insulted his mother.
Officers observed a cut on Redden’s head and blood covering her face but she refused medical attention. Officers also discovered that Rose had a warrant out of Cheatham County when they searched him in their system.
John Rose was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
