Man jailed after witnesses say he pulled knife on his brother over parking disagreement

59-year-old Victor Davis was charged with aggravated assault after he pulled a knife on his brother during an altercation about parking.

On November 3rd, Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to 2017 18th Avenue South in response to a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they were informed that brothers Larry Davis and Victor Davis were in an argument over parking a vehicle in the front yard of 2216 Lindell Avenue. Victor claimed Larry pulled a gun on him and pointed it at his back, but noted he did not actually see the weapon.

Larry told officers that during the verbal argument, Victor pulled a small kitchen knife and held it against his jacket near his chest. The witnesses, Larry’s wife Diantha Davis and his son both agreed Victor pulled a knife. Officers noted during the search, a small kitchen knife with a black handle was found in Victor’s back pocket.

Victor Davis was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
