25-year-old Calvin Woods was charged with domestic assault after he punched his ex-girlfriend in the face several times and dragged her by her hair while he was dropping their kids off at her home.
On November 8th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to reports of a domestic assault at 518 Whispering Oaks Place. Officers made contact with Laquesheara Smith, who stated she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Calvin Woods. Smith stated she and Calvin have two kids together. Calvin was watching them for a couple of days until she called and asked him to drop them off at her apartment.
When he arrived, she attempted to grab the children’s belongings out of his hands. Smith claimed he called her stupid and they began to argue. She tried to grab their youngest daughter from him, but he sat her down and shoved Smith on the ground. Calvin reportedly punched her several times in the face and dragged her on the ground by her hair. She had noticeable cuts on her face to corroborate her story.
Calvin Woods was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
