Taser carrying man enters woman’s home but flees from poodle #TheGoodestBoy

43-year-old Michael Petrone was charged with attempted aggravated burglary and attempted burglary of a motor vehicle after he reportedly attempted to break into a woman’s vehicle then fled to a neighbors house and attempted to gain entry.

On November 12th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a burglary attempt at 930 Drummond Drive. The male described in the call was a white bald man wearing a “Vermont” hoodie and blue jeans. When officers arrived, they observed a man, Michael Petrone, who matched the description outside of the above location. According to the affidavit, Petrone was walking away from 928 Drummond Drive. At this location, Tiva Bradshaw was observed to be crying hysterically in her front yard. Petrone stated he was looking for a friend and did not know why Bradshaw was upset.

During a search of Petrone’s person, police found a taser in his front pocket. Officers proceeded to speak with Bradshaw who stated Petrone came into her front yard and attempted to force entry into her residence. She stated he was asked multiple times to leave her property, but refused. Bradshaw also told police when he was trying to enter, her poodle bit him in the left leg and he left once police arrived. Kristen Shoape also had an encounter with Petrone where he attempted to break into her vehicle. Shoape stated as he was pulling on her door handles, she demanded he leave her property. She also called for police assistance during this time. Several other residents around the neighborhood told officers Petrone had been walking around asking for money and cigarettes.

Michael Petrone was arrested and charged with attempted aggravated burglary and attempted burglary of a motor vehicle. The charge for aggravated burglary was later dismissed, but he was found guilty of attempted burglary vehicle of a motor vehicle and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days of probation.
