33-year-old Rebecca Vanderbush and 37-year-old Amber Hull were charged with theft of property when police found the women inside of a stolen vehicle that was tracked to a Mapco parking lot.
On November 9th, Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to 81 Robertson Street in reference to a dealership’s ping on the tracker of a stolen vehicle. Officers reported they could not find the vehicle after arriving on scene. The dealership then reported a second ping at the Mapco located at 553 Murfreesboro Pike. When officers located the vehicle, they found Rebecca Vanderbush in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition. Officers stated she was removed from the vehicle and placed into custody.

Officers stated Vanderbush was with Amber Hull at the time of the incident. Both were read their Miranda Rights and still agreed to speak with officers. Vanderbush stated the car was picked up from a man named Ricky at the Suburban Extended Stay on Central, near I-40. The stolen vehicle report stated the car was left parked at the Suburban Extended Stay on Central Pike, and when the owner came out the next morning, the vehicle was not there. As she was being placed in the patrol vehicle, Vanderbush stated she was not with Hull when she picked up the car. The vehicle’s license plate and VIN were run through the system and confirmed stolen.
Rebecca Vanderbush was arrested and charged with theft of property. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
Amber Hull was arrested and charged with theft of property. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
With a name like VanderBush we know who the “girl” is…..
