26-year-old Caleb Collins was charged with aggravated assault after he reportedly strangled his boyfriend, assaulted him, and flipped over a pool table during an argument about him wanting to do cocaine.

On December 11th, Metro Nashville Police Officer Sharraff Mallery responded to what appeared to be a domestic stabbing. The officer attempted to make contact with Caleb Collins, who had been transported by Medic89 to Vanderbilt Emergency Room, but he refused to speak with her. Officer Mallery went to the location of the initial incident and spoke with Dakota Hall, Caleb’s boyfriend.

According to the affidavit, Dakota said he lives at the location with Caleb and his roommate, Tiffany Milliken. He claimed they all went out drinking and returned home to drink a bit more. Dakota stated Caleb was a recovering addict and he wanted to do cocaine, which prompted an argument.

Tiffany confirmed she witnessed Caleb antagonizing Dakota and when she attempted to intervene, Caleb flipped a pool table over. Tiffany went outside for a cigarette and the two continued to argue. Dakota stated his boyfriend strangled and assaulted him. He claimed he could not breathe and believed he was going to die. He picked up a lamp and hit Caleb several times with it until he got off of him. Tiffany came back inside, saw the struggle, grabbed a steel toe boot, and whacked Caleb with it to get him off of Dakota.

Caleb Collins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault by strangulation. He was later released on a $15,000 bond.
