27-year-old Rynique Baker was charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault and domestic assault after her boyfriend told officers she pistol-whipped, pointed a gun at him, and bit him in two separate incidents.
On November 20th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a domestic dispute in the area of 516 South 6th Street which involved a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Nicholas Davis and discovered that Rynique Baker had already fled the scene. Davis told officers he and Baker got into a verbal argument and he was attempting to retrieve his phone from Baker. He stated he was able to get his phone and she proceeded to hit him in the back of the head with a Smith and Wesson MP380. Davis stated she then pointed the weapon at him and demanded he exit the vehicle. Officers observed fresh blood around the visible injury but were unable to photograph it due to his thick hair.
On November 27th, Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to 510 Heritage Drive in reference to a domestic-related issue. When officers arrived they made contact with Nicholas Davis who stated his girlfriend, Rynique Baker pointed a handgun at him again. He told officers that they got into an argument and Baker bit him on the bicep. Davis stated she proceeded to locate an M&P handgun which she pointed in his face and tried to go through his pockets. He told officers he was able to get out of the apartment and Baker threw his belongings outside. Officers were able to observe a bite mark on Davis’ bicep and took Baker into custody.
On November 27th, Rynique Baker was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic assault. She was jailed on a $103,000 bond, but on December 8th all three charges were dismissed.
