35-year-old Melvin Harrison was charged with domestic assault after his girlfriend told authorities that he grabbed her by the neck and punched her in the mouth.
On December 2nd, Metro Nashville Police Officer Andrew Ivey arrived on the scene of a domestic call, he reported Melvin Harrison was outside and shouted “fuck the police” before he went inside and locked the door. According to the affidavit, dispatch had to call his girlfriend back to gain entry.
Ty’daetria Green advised she and Harrison had been in an argument when he grabbed her by her neck and punched her in the mouth. Harrison refused to give his account of events but the officer noted injuries on Green’s lip and neck consistent with her statement. She was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
Melvin Harrison was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $1,000 cash bond.
