33-year-old Carlos Beard was charged with domestic assault after his ex-girlfriend claimed he slapped her in Vanderbilt’s Medical Center East causing visible injury and blood spatter.
On November 23rd, Vanderbilt University Police officers were called to Vanderbilt’s Medical Center East in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, they located Robin Brizendine who stated her ex-boyfriend, Carlo Beard, slapped her in the face while they were in the medical center.
Officers observed Robin with a busted lip, redness on her face, and blood on her shirt. VUPD was eventually able to find Carlo in the smoking area outside the medical center. When they spoke with Carlo, he denied all allegations against him. It was also discovered that Carlo had a warrant out of Wilson County for aggravated domestic assault.
Carlo Beard was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $2,000 bond and an out of county hold.
