52-year-old Angela Petty was charged with aggravated statutory rape, prostitution, and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers spotted her and a 16-year-old having intercourse and admitted that she agreed to do it for $10.
On December 10th, Metro Nashville Police officers were patrolling the alleyways in the area of 15th Avenue North and Buchanan Street. They spotted a man and woman having intercourse with their pants down. Both parties pulled up their pants and walked in opposite directions when they spotted officers. Officers stopped both of them and identified them. The woman was identified to be 52-year-old Angela Petty, and the boy was found to be 16 years old.
Both were detained, and youth services was contacted for the boy. Officers confirmed Angela had two active warrants. After being read her Miranda Rights, she said she agreed to have sex with the male for $10. She claimed they engaged in sexual activity for three minutes before being spotted by police. The juvenile boy stated she threatened to kill him if he did not have intercourse with her. Angela was searched, and officers located a crack pipe on her person.
Angela Petty was arrested and charged with prostitution, aggravated statutory rape, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $7,000 bond.
