Woman charged after ex tells police she threatened to come back and shoot house up

25-year-old Stalita Megna was charged with domestic assault and violation of conditions of release after she reportedly blocked her ex into his own driveway, then swung at him.

On September 17th, Dennis Lawson stated he got into his truck that was parked in his driveway when a honk came from behind him. He told Metro Nashville Police officers that is when he saw his ex-girlfriend, Salita Megna, blocking the driveway in a Honda. Lawson stated she exited her vehicle and began to approach the passenger side of his truck while yelling. When she opened the door to his vehicle, Lawson exited his vehicle and came around, in an attempt to get her out.

He told officers Megna swung at him, but he dodged it. According to the affidavit, she returned to her vehicle while yelling threats that she would return later and shoot up his residence. Lawson’s father told the police he heard the altercation while he was mowing the yard. He stated Megna was on his property and threatened to shoot it up, but he did not see her swing at Lawson.

On November 24th, Stalita Megna was arrested and charged with domestic assault and violation of conditions of release. She was later released on a $10,000 bond.
