Woman keys car after getting fired from temp job

31-year-old Rachael Bates was charged with vandalism after police say she caused over $900 worth of damage by keying a car because she was terminated from her temporary job.

On July 13th, 2018, a police report was filed stating that a witness observed Rachael Bates key a car after her temporary employment had been terminated.

According to the report, victim Michaela Calotta had an estimate of $920.38 from the damage caused by Rachael and provided pictures of the damage to police. The matter had originally been sent to mediation, but Rachael failed to appear.

On December 3rd, 2020, Rachael Bates was arrested and charged with vandalism. She was later freed on pretrial release.
