4.8 lb edibles, 11 lb weed found after man says “I’ve got a little bud in here”

Metro Police found 39-year-old Steven Stokely, the well-known former GM of SATCO (San Antonio Taco Company), dozed behind the wheel of a white Range Rover with yellow rims. He stated “I’m gonna be honest, I’ve got a little bud in here” Officers found 11 pounds of marijuana, 4.8 pounds of edibles (cookies, muffins, brownies), 127 grams of gummies, 47 x 30 mg Oxycodone pills, 92 blue Xanax bars, and 3 Naloxone pills inside the vehicle.

A citizen called Metro Police on January 5th to report that a white Range Rover was parked behind Virginia’s Market on 18th Ave S, and a homeless man appeared to be buying things from the person in the vehicle. Metro Police responded and observed the vehicle, and what appeared to be a man asleep in the driver’s seat. As officers looked inside, they report seeing what appeared to be marijuana on the center console of the blinged-out Range Rover.

Officers tapped on the window of the vehicle and got 39-year-old former General Manager of the San Antonio Taco Company, identified as Steven L. Stokely, to look up in response. A warrant states the officers then opened the door and were immediately engulfed in the smell of marijuana. Officer Cailloutte writes that Stokely told the officers “I’m gonna be honest, I’ve got a little bud in here”. A probable cause search of the vehicle netted 11 pounds of marijuana, 4.8 pounds of edibles (cookies, muffins, brownies), 127 grams of gummies, 47 x 30 mg Oxycodone pills, 92 blue Xanax bars, and 3 Naloxone pills.

Steven Stokely was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on charges of possession with intent to distribute (schedules I, II, & IV) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is free on a 26,000 bond.
