20-year-old Isayah Batista is facing multiple charges after police say he asked a woman for sex and grew “irate” when she told him no. Court records allege he assaulted her and would not allow her to leave the apartment. The man’s roommate had to get involved so the woman could flee, at which time the man reportedly followed her, strangled her, and threw a marijuana grinder at her face out of anger.

64-year-old Sally Mattis, of Memphis, was charged with DUI just before 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Harpeth River State Park in Nashville when police found her with 9 open and empty bottles of Barefoot Pinot Grigio in her vehicle, though she claims she only recently drank two. She was out on bond at the time of this incident for a prior assault when she ran him out of the house while beating him up, and smashed a cinder block through his windshield when he escaped to safety.
