Police say 22-year-old Ryan Jerry Wieters was flirting with two women outside Redneck Riveria in Downtown Nashville Saturday, and when his efforts were met with rejection he became belligerent and began wildly punching the women with his fists.

Late Saturday night at 208 Broadway, outside of Redneck Riveria, Ariel Noneaker & Alexis Bowers, who said that Ryan Wieters had approached them and was flirting with them. Several independent witnesses were available and all recounted the same series of events.

When the two women rejected the advances of Wieters he became belligerent toward them, and another man stepped in on their behalf, which only angered Wieters more. An arrest warrant states he then began “wildly throwing punches” at the two women, punching Bowers in the mouth, busting her lip, causing it to bleed, and he punched Noneaker in the head with his fist.

Two witnesses chased Wieters to 3rd & Broadway, where an officer took him into custody. Ryan Jerry Wieters was booked into the Metro Nashville jail at 2:55 a.m. on 07/25 on two counts of assault.
