Police say a friend of 24-year old Blake West Bevans called them to say their friend was extremely intoxicated and should be checked on, giving them his location on Blakemore Ave. Police say he was walking into traffic and resisted arrest, and refused medical treatment, so they were left with no choice but to book him into jail for public intoxication.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
Police were dispatched to 2401 Blakemore Avenue on an intoxicated person call. When police arrived on scene, police can see the subject stumbling around on the sidewalk. A friend of the subject had called police and stated that he was very intoxicated at this location.

Police spoke to the subject. Police could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from the subject’s mouth. The subject was slurring his words, and not making much sense when speaking to police. Police called NFD to the scene, but the subject refused medical attention.

The subject then began walking towards traffic at the intersection of Blakemore Avenue and 24th Avenue. The subject was a danger to himself and others due to the amount of alcohol he had drank. Police placed the subject under arrest and transported him to booking. The subject resisted arrest as police were trying to place handcuffs on him, and place him inside the patrol vehicle.
