27-year-old Amos Wall is free on a $1,000 bond after police viewed a video showing him trapping his girlfriend against a wall before forcibly throwing her to the middle of the living room, then walking over to her and spitting in her face while cursing her out.
On August 8th Metro Nashville Police responded to an Antioch residence after a witness, Alyssa Gomez, called police to report her friend, Kierra ‘Kiki’ King, and her boyfriend, Amos Wall, were fighting. Amos told officers they had been drinking and admitted to being intoxicated. He initially advised he and his girlfriend were arguing but it didn’t turn physical – however, he then added that his girlfriend kept approaching him in an attempt to hit him, and he did push her to the ground to keep from being struck. He added that he didn’t consider his girlfriend hitting him to be an “assault”.
His girlfriend, who officers noted was “very intoxicated”, stated they were in an argument because he had texted her friend, and she punched him when they were outside because she was upset. The witness had cell phone video of the entire altercation, which told the full story, according to police.
the video shows the two in the living room prior to going outside, where Amos was punched by his girlfriend. In the video, Amos can be seen trapping his girlfriend against a wall in the living room. He then tosses her to the ground at which time she gets up and attempts to slap Amos, however, he grabs her and throws her to the middle of the living room floor. He then walks over to her while she is on the ground and spits in her face while cursing her out. Based on the video, Amos was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody.
Amos O. Wall, 27, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. Night Court Commissioner Daniel Masten set his bond at $1,000, which he posted via Grumpy’s Bail Bonds.
