32-year-old James Berry, of St. Louis, drank so much alcohol at the 400 Degrees restaurant inside the Nashville International Airport last week that he walked out on his tab and stumbled and fell onto a female passenger causing her to be injured enough to require transportation to a local hospital.
Airport Police responded to an incident at 12:30 p.m. on August 9th at gate C18, where two passengers were on the ground and being assisted by other passengers and airport staff. The male, identified as James Berry, was being propped up by other passengers to steady him, as he was heavily intoxicated. He had called onto a female passenger, who required transportation to a local hospital for her injuries.
A bartender from the 400 Degrees restaurant inside the airport told police that Berry was in their location drinking heavily, ordering multiple drinks for himself and other passengers. He left the restaurant without paying for the drinks and made his way to this gate.
James Michael Berry, of St. Louis, MO, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail at 2:01 p.m. on 08/09, charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault. He is free on pre-trial release.
