36-year-old Anthony Archer was causing a disturbance at a West Nashville Walmart when of-duty DCSO/Nashville Sheriff Officer Robert Lillard Jr, who was working a secondary security job there, asked him to leave. He says Archer became aggressive and “balled up his fists”, and even spit on him, at which time Lillard says he pulled out his baton in self-defense and began striking him with it. Archer escaped the altercation and fled the store. He was found two days later, trespassing, and was arrested on the outstanding warrant. He remains jailed on a $3,100 bond.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
The victim is an officer with the DCSO and was working off duty as security at the Walmart located at 7044 Charlotte Pk. The victim was called to the front of the store after a store employee had informed him that the defendant was acting agressively towards employees and customers.

The victim was able to make contact with the defendant at customer service and had told him that he needed to leave the store. The defendant walked out of the store but came right back inside and started causing problems again at customer service. The defendant was becoming aggressive and started knocking items in the floor.

The defendant was scaring the customers causing them to walk in a quick manner to get away from him. The defendant then approached Eddie McClendon (Walmart employee) in an aggressive manner to where he had to push a shopping cart into the defendant.

The defendant became confrontational with the victim and had balled up his fists. The victim feared for his safety along with the safety of the customers and employees so he had to use his baton to keep the defendant from assaulting him and others. The defendant continued to take a fighting stance and balling up his fists.

The defendant was refusing to leave and kept approaching the victim in an aggressive manner. The victim had to strike the defendant with his baton in self-defense when the defendant was trying to assault him with his fists. During the altercation, the defendant had even spit on the victim. The defendant eventually quit and left the store on foot. He was later arrested on 09/02/21 during a trespass and served with the outstanding warrants.

The cops always get spit on before they beat the crap out of a person, but never have proof other than their word. I hope he has hospital records for the HIV test (or is it COVID now?) I am sure he is claiming he is afraid he contracted because of the alleged spitting.
