Metro Nashville Police say they were speaking to a group of citizens on Broadway in downtown Nashville when 23-year-old Dylan Scott Cosner walked up, stumbled around swaying, leans on an officer for balance, bumped into the other people, and was belligerent. Officers asked him to move along with his friends, but he refused and became verbally aggressive. He was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with public intoxication.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
ON 09/05/21 OFFICER WAS SPEAKING TO CITIZENS NEAR 318 BROADWAY. DEFENDANT WALKED UP AND JOINED THE CONVERSATION. AS DEFENDANT WAS SPEAKING HE HAD SLURRED SPEECH, BLOODSHOT EYES, AND AN APPARENT ODOR OF ALCOHOL.
DEFENDANT STARTED TO SWAY, STUMBLE, AND BUMP INTO OTHER PEOPLE. HE THEN STARTED TO SWAY AND LEAN ON THE OFFICER. OFFICER TOLD DEFENDANT TO LEAVE THE AREA WITH FRIENDS TO WHICH HE REFUSED. DEFENDANT BECAME VERBALLY BELLIGERENT AND WAS TOLD BY THE OFFICER TO LEAVE MULTIPLE TIMES OR HE WOULD BE ARRESTED.
DUE TO DEFENDANT BEING UNABLE TO CARE FOR HIMSELF AND UNREASONABLY ANNOYING OTHERS IN THE AREA, DEFENDANT WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY.
