27-year-old TravarYarber met Milan McDaniel at a Mapco in Madison to sell him some marijuana. When the two argued over the price for the quality and quantity presented, Yarber retrieved a gun to rob the man and shot him in the face, with the bullet lodging in his brain. The victim survived and is recovering well. A warrant was issued for Yarber’s arrest, and he was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail earlier this week. He is jailed in lieu of a $262,500 bond.

| On 07/05/2021 at approximately 2305 hours the defendant was at Mapco located at 1516 Gallatin Pike S Nashville TN in Davidson County. The victim came to the location to buy marijuana from the defendant. The defendant entered the victim’s vehicle on the passenger’s side front door and sat in the passenger’s seat. The defendant presented the victim the marijuana at which time the victim refused to pay the agreed-upon amount for what was presented. The defendant exited the vehicle and went to his own black SUV and came back to the victim’s vehicle. The defendant sat in the passenger’s seat while holding a black handgun by his right leg. The defendant then demanded the victim empty his pockets to get the money. The defendant began grabbing the victim’s pant legs where pockets would be while the victim pleaded that he did not have to do this. The defendant raised the gun from his side and discharged the weapon then stating “mother fucker”. The bullet struck the victim in the right side jaw area traveling through the sinus cavity and lodging in the brain cavity. The defendant fled the scene in the vehicle that he arrived. The investigation lead to the defendant as a person of interest and the victim positively identified the defendant in a photo lineup. The defendant has previously been convicted of felony charges in Davidson County. |
