21-year-old Korey Lewis is charged with the felony aggravated assault of an underage boy at knifepoint. Court documents reveal Kory met the underage boy, who was posing as a girl named ‘CJ’ on Snapchat and sent the person intimate photos of himself. At some point, he realized ‘CJ’ was a boy and demanded the photos be deleted. ‘CJ’ gave him his address, and told him to bring money to him and he would delete the photos. Korey, along with his father, and another man, went to the address. The father watched as Korey met the underage boy who had catfished him, and the other male from their vehicle joined in the chase of the young man, which ended with Korey “intimidating” him with a knife to get the photos deleted. As Kory began physically assaulting the young man, Kory’s father told him to let him go, and they fled the scene. Korey confessed to the incident at police headquarters when questioned, and was taken into custody. He is free on a $10,000 bond.

| On 10/23/21 the juvenile victim was taking the trash out to a dumpster located near his residence at 5515 Scruggs Ln, Nashville, TN. While walking to the dumpster, he observed a M/B leaning on the hood of a 4 door sedan parked near the dumpster. The M/B asked the victim if he was CJ? The M/B started to retrieve an unknown object from his hooded sweatshirt, which caused the victim to become alert. The M/B took a step towards the victim, in where the victim began to run back towards his apartment. The M/B gave chase and caught up to the victim, tackling him to the ground. The victim stated the M/B attempted to punch him in the head. The victim was able to get back to his feet, to which the M/B continued to hold on to the victim and observed a knife in the hand of the M/B. There was another M/B and M/W that were in a SUV, in where the M/W assisted the M/B in chasing the victim. The M/B that was in the SUV instructed the M/B that was holding onto the victim to let the victim go to which he complied. The victim fled to his residence where police were called. There was camera footage via the apartment complex that captured the majority of the incident. The sedan the M/B was driving had a TN temp tag of QE6Y393, 2005 Chevy Impala, that was registered to a Korey Lewis of 468 Ponder Pl, Nashville, TN. The vehicle was located at 468 Ponder Pl, where the vehicle was towed to the impound lot. While in the process of towing the vehicle, Korey Lewis came out to his vehicle. I was able to make contact with Korey, where he agreed to speak with me at MNPD HQ. I advised Korey that he was not under arrest nor was he detained and could leave at any time. He stated he understood and agreed to speak with me. Korey stated that on 10/22/21, he was contacted by what he believed was a female on Snapchat where the two sent messages to each other and eventually exchanged phone numbers in order to text. He stated the name given was by the female was “CJ.” At some point, Korey believed that CJ was actually a male and after sending intimate pictures to CJ, Korey wanted CJ to delete the pictures, to which CJ instructed Korey to bring money to the Scruggs Ln address and the pictures would be deleted. After arriving at the apartment complex with his father, after approximately 10 minutes he observed the victim walking to the dumpster. He asked the victim if he was CJ, in where the victim “acknowledged him.” Korey then proceeded to walk towards the victim and a foot chase ensued. He caught up to the victim and was holding onto him until his father instructed him to let the victim go. Korey let the victim go, where he fled left the apartment complex. Korey admitted to possessing a knife and stated he had it to “intimidate” the victim in order to have the photos deleted. |
