30-year-old Laura Kathryn Kelley tried paying for her beer at SandBar Nashville with a hotel keycard. When it wouldn’t work, she became upset and caused a scene, resulting in her being asked to leave the location by property management, security, and police – each of which she declined. She was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On 10/12/2021, the defendant was located at 4 City Blvd. Officers received a call about a woman who attempted to pay for a beer at the sand bar located at 3001 Charlott ave with a hotel access card. She got upset when she could not get the drink. She left the location and went across the street to the nearby apartments.
Officers located the defendant outside of the location. Officers indicated a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person and was also slurring her words in a public place. Witnesses stated that she was also screaming and causing a scene outside. The defendant was asked to leave several times by security on scene, the property manager, and the police. She refused to leave the location. The location currently does not have a trespass waiver on file. The defendant also removed a small pocket knife from her shirt. She did not threaten anyone with the knife. Officers took possession of the knife shortly after took the defendant into custody.
