24-year-old Yasmine Richardson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after reportedly showing up to return her boyfriend’s child to the mother, and assaulting her with a baseball bat when she opened the door to let the child inside, then quickly fleeing the scene. The victim, Rakeyah Jones, was not expecting Yasmine to return the child, as she had just spoken to the child’s father, Ladon Giddens, about him dropping the child off. Richardson is free on a $1,500 bond.

| On 10/13/2021 Officers were dispatched to 5000 Mountain Springs Dr Apt 1208 for a call for service. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Rakeyah Jones (Victim) who said that Yasmine Richardson (Defendant) assaulted her with a bat. Rakeyah said she spoke with the father of her child Ladon Giddens about him dropping off their child. Rakeyah said she heard a knock on the door and when she looked out the door she noticed Yasmine standing outside with — (Rakeyah’s child). Rakeyah said she was not expecting the defendant to be bringing the child but still proceeded to open the door to get her child. Rakeyah told police when she opened the door Yasmine hit her in the face with a Black and Silver bat. Rakeyah said she tried to move back but the bat still scraped her face. The defendant then fled the scene, knocking over — (Rakeyah’s child), and left in a Black or Blue Infinity G35. The defendant was not present when officers arrived. |
