23-year-old Shantell Frierson is charged with domestic assault after she admits to ripping a dreadlock from the head of her boyfriend after he told he she “looked different without fake eyelashes on”, which greatly upset her. She also destroyed his phone, which ended up in a fish tank, and left marks on his body from an assault. She is free on a $2,500 bond.

| On 10/02/2021 officers responded to 488 Lemont Dr. Apt# 247 regarding a domestic disturbance. Officers were flagged down by the victim, Willie E. Easley III, who stated he and his girlfriend, Shantell A. Frierson (defendant), who is the mother of their child, were arguing all day until our arrival. The victim stated the defendant became angry when the victim stated she “looked different without her fake eyelashes on” between 0800 and 1000 hours. The victim stated the defendant yelled at him repeatedly and threw his phone at the ground. The victim also stated somehow the phone ended up in a fish tank. The victim advised officers he took $1,100 in U.S. paper currency belonging to the defendant to hold until police arrived. Officers observed the damage to the screen of the phone. The victim also stated the argument escalated and he was assaulted by the defendant an unknown number of times. The victim showed officers where his hair was pulled out by the defendant. Officers observed a dreadlock that was pulled out from his scalp. Officers were advised he was also hit several times and officers observed several fingernail marks on the victim’s right bicep area. Officers photographed the injuries which were reported. Officers spoke with the defendant regarding the incident and were advised the victim took $1,100 in U.S. paper currency from her but returned it to her prior to police arriving at the residence. The defendant confirmed the victim’s statements regarding the incident beginning over her looking different without fake eyelashes. The defendant stated she became angry and admitted to assaulting the victim by punching him, pushing him, and pulling out his hair. The defendant admitted to throwing the victim’s phone to the ground at approximately 1000 hours. The defendant stated he returned the money at approximately 1400 hours as he was packing clothing to leave the apartment for the evening. |
