22-year-old Alexandria Dearmon was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Monday morning by Belle Meade Police Officer Hayley Doty. Dearmon, who crashed her vehicle at 2:02 a.m., explained that she had only consumed one tequila sunrise at a local bar, and was driving another individual home from the bar. Despite her role as the ‘designated driver, Dearmon blew a 0.119 BAC and had multiple empty alcoholic beverage containers in her vehicle. She is free on pre-trial release.

| On 22 November 2021 at approximately 0202 hours, I, Officer Doty, was dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver, Ms. Alexandria Dearmon, that stated she was taking another individual home from a bar in Green Hills. Before leaving the establishment she stated that she consumed one tequila sunrise beverage. I observed Ms. Dearmon to have several empty alcoholic beverage containers in her vehicle. Her explanation of the events leading up to the accident were unclear and her version of the events continued to change. I asked Ms. Dearmon if she would consent to SFSTs to which she agreed. During HGN, I observed Ms. Dearmon to have lack of smooth pursuit, distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation, and onset prior to 45 degrees. During Walk and Turn, I observed Ms. Dearmon could not keep balance as she stepped off line during the instruction phase and made an improper turn. During the One Leg Stand, I observed Ms. Dearmon to use her arms for balance. A breathalyzer showed a result of 0.119. |
