| During a verbal altercation between the victim and the defendant, who are in a domestic relationship, the defendant began punching the victim with his fists while and then grabbed the victim by her hair and pulled out countless braids from her scalp. As the defendant continued to assault the victim he stated he was going to shoot her in her face. The defendant was in possession of a handgun at the time the threats were being made, the victim was unable to see if the weapon was pointed at her. Based on prior domestic violence history involving a weapon, the victim was in reasonable fear for her life and safety. |
