30-year-old Andrew Cheesman is free on a $10,000 bond after being booked Thursday on an outstanding felony warrant charging him in the sadistic aggravated assault/strangulation of his girlfriend two weeks ago when she reportedly did not fold his laundry. Court documents allege he used his finger to poke her in the chest, telling her how selfish and disrespectful she was. As she packed a bag of clothes to leave for the evening she says he placed her in a chokehold, telling her “you can’t leave!” and pushed her on the bed where he punched her in the stomach leaving knots and bruises.
He then continued to kick her inner thighs and genital area, leaving additional bruises. The assault continued as he held her down and stretched her hands above her head while grabbing her fingers and bending them backward to create additional pain and injury, then telling her to “calm down” as he placed her on the couch. Cheesman’s 4-year-old daughter witnessed some of the assault and looked at the victim and told her to “stop crying” and to “quiet down”. Cheesman then told the victim to be quiet and he would get her pain medicine and ice for her injuries. Extensive injuries and bruising to the victim’s entire body, including arms, stomach, legs, neck, hips, inner thighs, and genital area were documented.

| The victim, Sheila Aracely, stated she got into a verbal argument with her boyfriend, the defendant, Andrew Chessman, on 10/30/2021 around 2100 hours while they were at the defendant’s residence located at 2160 Mullen circle. The victim stated the defendant got upset because the victim did not fold the defendant’s laundry. The victim advised the defendant began yelling in her face and using his finger to poke her chest and stating, “you’re so disrespectful and so selfish.” The victim stated she began crying and packed a bag of clothes so she could leave for the evening while the defendant cooled down. The victim stated the defendant then grabbed her by her bag and yanked it from her and took his arm and put the victim in a chokehold and said to the victim “you can’t leave!” There are visible injuries to the victim’s neck where she stated she was choked. The victim stated during the strangulation she never lost consciousness and remembers the whole incident. The victim stated the defendant then pushed her onto the bed where the defendant began punching the victim in the stomach leaving knots and visible bruises. The victim stated the defendant was on top of her using his foot to step on and kick her on her inner thighs and genital area causing bruises to her skin. The victim stated she tried to get away from the defendant and she fell to the floor when the defendant followed her and held her arms above her head while she was on the ground so that she was unable to move. The victim stated while on the ground the defendant was grabbing the victim’s fingers and bending them backward. The victim stated she ran from the suspect and he told her to sit on the couch when the victim said no the victim stated the defendant put the victim on the couch and told her to calm down. The victim stated at this point the defendant’s 4-year-old daughter was telling the victim to stop crying and to quiet down. The victim stated the defendant then asked the victim to calm down and he would get her pain medication and ice for her injuries. The victim has visible injuries on her arms, stomach, legs, neck, and hips which corroborate her story. |
