21-year-old De Yana Johnson is free on a $15,000 bond after police say she intentionally drove her vehicle into her mother’s vehicle while attempting to hit her mother, and her juvenile child was inside the car, unrestrained. The domestic disturbance reportedly started over her moving out of the residence and escalated when De Yana grabbed a crowbar from her vehicle and threatened her mother, Pasonica Tillman, with it before getting into her vehicle and attempting to run over her mother. Johnson faces felony vandalism, child endangerment, and aggravated assault with deadly weapon charges.

On 11/17/2021 officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 499 Swiss Ave apt. B213. The defendant was actively involved in a domestic disturbance with her mother at the location listed. During the domestic disturbance, the defendant intentionally drove her vehicle into her mother’s vehicle while attempting to hit her mother. While the incident was taking place, the victim, (JV), was in the vehicle unrestrained. The defendant left the scene prior to officer arrival with the victim in her vehicle. It is unknown if the victim sustained any injury. This was witnessed by the defendant’s mother, grandmother, and brother. The defendant is the mother of the victim. —— On 11/17/2021 officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 499 Swiss Ave apt. B213. Officers made contact with Ms. Pasonica Tillman (Victim) who stated that she was in a verbal argument with her daughter, Ms. De Yana Johnson (Defendant), that escalated. Ms. Tillman states that she was in a verbal argument with Ms. Johnson about her moving out of the above-listed address. Ms. Tillman states that the argument moved from inside the apartment to the outside of the apartment in the parking lot. Ms. Tillman states that while outside, the defendant grabbed a crowbar from her vehicle and threatened Ms. Tillman with it. Ms. Tillman states that at that time she walked to the back of her vehicle that was also parked in the parking lot outside of the apartment. Ms. Tillman states the defendant got back into her vehicle, drove past Ms. Tillman’s vehicle, then reversed her vehicle attempting to intentionally hit Ms. Tillman. The defendant, in doing this, struck Ms. Tillman’s vehicle causing damage to the rear end. Ms. Tillman states she then got into her vehicle to get to a safe place. Ms. Tillman states that the defendant then intentionally struck Ms. Tillman’s vehicle again causing damage to the front driver side quarter panel. The defendant then fled the scene. Ms. Tillman did not sustain any injuries as a result of the assault. The assault was witnessed by Ms. Tillman’s Mother and Son. The damages to the victim’s vehicle are estimated to be $1000 or greater. |
