19-year-old Ava Purifoy had to be carried out of Bridgestone Arena by off-duty officers Saturday night after she caused a scene inside from being overly intoxicated. As she was being placed into custody and the rear of a patrol car she began to kick her legs at officers and scream. She then kicked the windows from inside the car, demanding to be let out of custody. She eventually admitted to consuming “three drinks”. She was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

| ON 12/11/2021, OFFICERS RESPONDED TO 501 BROADWAY AT THE BRIDGESTONE ARENA REGARDING A DISORDERLY FEMALE. UPON ARRIVAL, THE DEFENDANT WAS SEEN BEING CARRIED OUT OF THE BUILDING BY OFF-DUTY METRO OFFICERS. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PLACE THE DEFENDANT INTO THE POLICE VEHICLE, SHE STARTED TO KICK HER LEGS AT OFFICERS AND SCREAM. WHILE INSIDE THE VEHICLE, THE DEFENDANT BEGAN KICKING THE WINDOWS AND SCREAMING TO BE LET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEFENDANT LATER ADMITTED TO DRINKING THREE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. WHILE BEING TRANSPORTED, SHE WAS KICKING THE VEHICLE’S DOORS AND WINDOWS AND SCREAMING ERRATICALLY. OFFICERS DECIDED TO TAKE THE DEFENDANT INTO CUSTODY DUE TO THE DEFENDANT’S ACTIONS CAUSING AN ANNOYANCE TO OTHERS AND SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO CARE FOR HERSELF OR OTHERS. |
