33-year-old Eric Randell, who lives with his mother, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday after telling her he would “sharpen a spoon and cut out her heart.” The argument reportedly began when she confronted her adult son over what she described as his “drinking problem.” She asked him to leave her home after the incident, at which time she says he slapped her in the face, causing an injury to her lip. Police took Randell into custody, charging him with domestic assault. Randell remains jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
